Israeli cooking lesson

Recently we had an IFSA event in our apartment! Because our program is small, we can cater activities to our interests; hence our private Israeli cooking lesson with Monica - the program director. It's spring in Israel, so our menu was focused on fresh produce from the organic market and tons of herbs and local spices. We made a classic Israeli chopped salad, a stir fry/curry, and shakshuka, an Israeli tomato dish with eggs on top. We also enjoyed fresh pita bread and babka (a traditional Jewish chocolate cake) for dessert!
